PDP’s Ahmadu Fintiri defeats Incumbent to win Adamawa Guber Election

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ahmadu Fintiri, has been declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the winner of the governorship election in Adamawa state.

Punch reports that the INEC Returning Officer, Prof. Andrew Haruna, declared him winner after the collation of the supplementary election across 44 polling units in 14 local governments. Fintiri polled 376,552 votes to defeat incumbent governor Jibrilla Bindow of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who polled 336,386 votes.
