2019 has been a really eventful year for almost everyone. One could be tempted to say that this year has not been entirely rosy for so many people, but on the other hand, many others have been racking millions of Naira into their pockets. People have been blessed with children and others have lost their loved ones. There have been so many ups and downs this year. Individually and collectively, this has been a wild ride of a year.

2019 has been filled with so many political events; from Nigerians deciding that they still wanted Sai Baba to be their president for the next four years to denying Ajimobi of his aspired political seat and many more political occasions. Nigerians have been through it with their leaders.

This year, Nigerians also went into the streets to support Busola Dakolo after she opened up about being raped by Pastor Fatoyinbo of COZA church.

Are we going to be exaggerating when we say that this year is the year of hashtags on TwitterNG? From #EndSARS to #NoToRUGA, #NotoSocialMediaBill, #JusticeForOchanya, #JusticeForJemima, and many more campaigns, Nigerian youths did not hesitate to use their voices this year. In fact, they also conducted a fake wedding for President Buhari online! Haha. In the midst of all these, we still have an increase in VAT and the border is still closed. Who knows if we might get rice and chicken to eat this season?

For Nigerians, our hope in humanity was also restored when some women rallied round Ene – the lady who was dumped in Ajah by some unknown people – and helped her get back on her feet. Lecturers who have been involved in the #SexForGrades scandal also had their yansh exposed by Kiki Mordi and our dear policemen again embarrassed us globally when journalist, Fisayo Soyombo, exposed the many atrocities being committed in the Nigerian prisons by policemen.

How can we forget the peppering BBNaija housemates that peppered Nigerians and Africa for 3 solid months? Did we also mention that we had to beg rain to stop falling this year? What’s more? Our very own Burna Boy got nominated for a Grammy award.

Aside from the many gbas gbos that happened this year, people found love and had their happy ever after. You know at BellaNaija, we love love!

2019 has been eventful for every one of us and we didn’t even notice that time had suddenly developed wings. It just seems like yesterday when we wished y’all a happy new year, right?

From the happy to the gloomy, the grief-stricken, the inspirational and breathtakingly beautiful occurrences, we’ve had a year! Pheew. We know you have a lot to tell us and, honestly, we cannot wait to hear them. Did you find love or lose someone? Did you have an amazing year all-round? Did you wish you had done certain things differently or hadn’t done it at all? Don’t worry, we still want to hear it.

The 2018 Epilogues had a lot of bittersweet stories and just like one big family, we all cried and laughed together.
