#OccupyLagos Protesters are Peacefully Passing a Message across to the State Government

It’s been eight days since the Lagos state government effected a ban on motorcycles and tricycles and since then, Lagosians have not stopped protesting.

A group of young people also joined in the protest with the social media hash tag #OccupyLagos and now they are live at the finish line of the Lagos City Marathon to peacefully and silently let out their grievances against the abrupt ban of okadas and keke napeps.

The #OccupyLagos protesters who have no intention of disrupting the marathon, are simply hoping to pass their message across with the various words inscribed on their placards.

Check out some of the protesters below:

I love the peaceful protest by the Lagosians. The government are just making things more complicated for us, meanwhile we elected to represent the masses and make life easier for all of us. My major problem is the OkadaRiders what will now be there fate as their means of surviving has been shattered.

Please Lagos State Government should take immediate effect to help the masses.

    Thank you.

Putting the cart before the horse attitude must stop in this Country. We elected you to put on your thinking hats to come and resolve problems we are all facing in this country. Taking the easy way out is not the answer. Now you know. A word is enough for the wise. I’m just saying.
