Banke Meshida-Lawal July 2013 Issue

When it comes beauty, Banke Meshida-Lawal always tops the list.

The Nigerian beauty entrepreneur and make-up artiste extraordinaire is  the cover star of Genevieve Magazine’s July 2013 Issue. Rocking a pretty pink lace dress on the cover, she dishes with the mag on her sky rocketing career.

Read Genevieve Magazine’s details on the cover muse;

If Banke Meshida-Lawal were to have a gold coin for every dignitary and celebrity’s face she has touched, she would probably have a bullion van filled with gold coins.
Four years back when this BM|PRO CEO graced the Genevieve cover, she had won the hearts and faces of several Nigerian women through her Midas touch that always kept them coming back. Fast forward to the present, she shares with Genevieve her journey so far – the tears, joy, expansions and of course the newest addition to her family, her daughter Toni.

I understand that makeup is her speciality, but she should have tried harder to blend her natural hair colour and texture with her weave. The first picture is so pretty, and elegant. The second look where she has my security guards bed hanging from her ears, is a major don’t.

hey u must understand that someone styled her and made her up…..its not her fault

    • oose July 20, 2013 at 12:36 PM

ermm there is certainly something wrong with the earring lipsticks and hair in the second picture … oh they should have employed Photoshop at least … so so wrong

    • Ross July 20, 2013 at 12:41 PM

Her make up looks the same all the time any bride she did u will know

    • Awaiting Moderation July 20, 2013 at 12:49 PM

The make up on the cover is nice but the could have tried blending the brow bone highlight color in well…the earring picture?er no!!!So ratchet. and I agree with Ross, her make up looks on bride looks the same, she only changes up the colors depending on the aso oke or wedding color of the bride.

Genevieve team, but why? Banke’s natural hair stands out from the smoother-textured weave she has on. At least, they must have seen the pics before going to press, or maybe they simply couldn’t be bothered with doing a good job of the whole photography session this time. Shame!! BN, post my comment as you serially Don’t.

Mrs Lawal sets the trends while others follow. Ask other upcoming makeup artists¦ we allll lookn to her pictures for inspiration. The reason why all her brides look “the same” is because they are all STUNNING. So please next time you want to bash our Mentor before u do check out the albums on facebook. Yes the hair is not great though…..

    • Peter pan July 20, 2013 at 3:36 PM

@Ross and awaiting Moderation, yes her makeup look the same cos she has a style, and Her brides are happy with their look. those are very important things when you deal with clients. The earrings i can say are a bit bogus, but all this same, Banke Meshida Lawal is an Icon, positive contributor and an Achiever in the Nigerian makeup and beauty industry, so appreciate that and not be looking for flaws up and down as if you’re so perfect yourself.

she spoke about the photo in the mag and, why do you feel to defend Banke’s artistry and person. Haba! stick to the topic jorr and stop adding irrelevant things

what happen with her new grow showing around her edge….They could have done something with it…But nice pics anyway.

Her hair and makeup is unacceptable for who she is. his is Genevieve Magazines fault.

blending natural hair requires specific weave textures.
