In February 2011, Nigerian star, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde kicked off her international press tour in Atlanta, GA, USA. Omotola recently signed a management contract with Bishop Entertainment Consult (BEC) and this new partnership is aimed at positioning Omotola as an international star.
As part of the promotional programme, Omotola embarked on a press tour which took her to various cities in the United States and UK. Stops on the tour included a high profile appearance at the 2011 Grammy Awards, a birthday party in Atlanta, a visit to the 2Pac Foundation office where she shared her vision for the Omotola Youth Empowerment Programme (OYEP) to collaborate with 2Pac Center for Arts and Learning, Omotola met the Director of 2Pac Community Outreach programme, Dr. Carlos Coleman and also 2Pac’s mother – Afeni Shakur. Omotola is scheduled to return to the United States in June 2011 to participate in the “2Pac (posthumous) 40th Birthday Concert”. Omotola also visited the Grammy Atlanta chapter office and was featured on V103FM’s Frank and Wanda Morning Radio Show in Atlanta. According to Omotola’s publicists, Big Sam Media, Omotola is the “first entertainment brand from Nigeria and Africa as a whole to appear on the show…the response from listeners was phenomenal”
