Osun State University Shut Down after Violent Protest by Students Over Death of Colleague

Osun State University has been shut down indefinitely.

In a memo issued by the Registrar of the university, it announced the closure of the Ikire Campus of the institution in Osogbo, after an all night violent protest by students of the school following the death of their colleague in a car accident.

Oladeji Abokede, the Public Relations Officer of the institution confirmed the report.

Students will be informed when to return for classes.

    Then they should be investigating on the matter and let other student go to school for christ sake….. Naija universities to like strike i swear, abi one special thing dey inside person no dey aware or wetin… Nansance but may the soul of the dead R.I.P….

    It is so Sad, They had an Accident on their way to an Excursion, May the Souls of the Departed RIP, I’m sure those of us in other Campuses that has been planning on Going on an Excursion would be Stopped from going now…
