GTBank Lagos Fashion & Design Week 2014 – Day 1: Sisiano

That is the one word that can describe the collection Nigerian designer Sisiano showcased at the 2014 GTBank Lagos Fashion & Design Week.

Mostly sticking to shades of purple, complemented with white, Sisiano showed how simplicity can be easily made to equal sophistication – and just when we started to wonder if purple was the entire colour he used in his collection he switched things up.

Sisiano’s collection was an easy and glamourous collection that we won’t be forgetting in a hurry.

You stole the words I was going to type. Very flirty and feminine and (more importantly for me) he stayed consistent. Even despite some errors in finishing, it felt fresh and like he’d actually prepared a collection.

Nicely done, Sisiano. More charcoal to your sketching pencil.

why are they so thin? honestly ehn… i still dont get the idea of models looking like broomsticks, they actually are not appealing. I prefer slim but this thin…?where the bones show like they are starving?………………….. No way

3 words: pull it together. P.S styling can make or break a collection, that God awful blue on the white with the purple pants has to go to some deep area never to appear again.
