hmmm…honda to hummer..really? I like pastor J but i do not agree with the message.God is not about wealth, the gospel is not about wealth..the wonder of God surpasses changing Honda to hummers..we have a lot of things mixed up in xtianity these days. God does not promise you great wealth and riches because you re a xtian. We need to stop spreading the wrong message, we need to stop accessing God because of material things but seek the deeper things like laying up treasures in heaven through Godly character and obedience which is the true wealth. In all things we bless God…whether in riches or in poverty, in plenty and in lack. But Pastor J is a very nice guy

Can someone pls explain to me why it is okay for a gospel artist to shoot his video with a director that shoots video with I/2 naked women ( no offence to Mr Moe Musa, amazing director btw) and also use a music producer that produces for the so called “wordly music”.

I don’t get this pple sometimes, use the same dance steps and yet criticize the circular music. There was absolutely nothing gospel about the music, showing off his arms n all. Plsss Pastor J is it? Do me a favour n just switch to hip hop.

It’s called the suppressed dreams and aspiration syndrome. They probably ordained him a pastor just to impress daddy and deep down the boy probably wants to be in show biz

I agree with you on the, “then criticise the word” when it seems almost exactly the same.

Who did Jesus come, some Christians, over sanctified, over religious pharisees!
And in as much as I think there’s a lot of prosperity teachings, I also dont think there’s any shame in hyping a God, who can change your testimony from honda to hummer, God wants us to prosper, and all these be humble teachings, I don’t know where they came from, but that’s just suffering for no reason!
It might be something left over from the slave trade mentality, but seriously get over yourselves.
People come out here on blogs and just take out all the bitterness in their hearts.
..From the abundance of your heart…

A valid critic must have done something better than what he doing. If you haven’t done any thing valid as it regards your dreams. Stop sitting on the dumb ass stool of defeat and run your invalid comments. Work your Own dreams rather than stay on bella naija and criticize other people’s interpretation on who God is to them like an NFA

“Gospel” rap/music. The word gospel in itself is an empty word. it simply means TRUTH. Truth about what? It needs to be defined by something. Attaching it to anything doesn’t necessarily mean its related to Christianity. Truth music, huh?! The content of the song helps us understand the artiste’s definition of gospel. In my opinion (MINE OOOO), there is no difference between this song and Dbanj’s Olorun Maje. So what is gospel?

If it gospel according to/defined by the bible, it needs to makes us understand in some way Who God is, what sin looks like, why Jesus is so important, and why you have to tell us. The only thing that seems to remind me of God in this song is the beauty of nature which they manage to fog out with those color fog things. Not saying thanking God is wrong oh but when there is truth in thanksgiving to God, the reason is always intangible, though it manifestation might be tangible. Honda to Hummer: like if you put fuel in both you will not get to the same place.

Biblical truths are lacking in these so called gospel songs.

Jimi, I pray someday that the truth will set you free . Remember if the son has set you free, you are free indeed. It’s not easy being ‘omo pastor’, let alone pastor bimbo and Taiwo odukoya’s only son. Deep down, I know you want to be like dem wizkidm, tuface and rugged man, but until the son sets you free, you can’t be yourself. Carry on and continue suppressing your inner davido. Mschewwwwww. Oshi o daa…Honda to hummer indeed

With the christian body facing the dilemma of merging the two generations together to agree to speak different languages but receive the same message, many youth find refuge in the lyrics of current gospel music.
Secular songs are being jammed in most functions attended these days and we go to church for thanksgiving the following Sunday. Let’s be real, there is nothing wrong with my gospel music that has a message that I can jam to.
Jimi has been doing this all his life, long before anyone ever heard of some of these secular artists, and if a gospel artist is proving to be just as much of musical power player as their secular counterparts by exposing their musical and personal lives through it, then it’s all good. It’s all about the individual. At the end of the day, it should glorify Christ and that should be the focus.
    Nice move…

Honestly I see nothing wrong with this video “I just dey see Your wonder, from Honda to Hummer…” does it mean as Christians we shouldn’t expect a change of status? as for me I pray for a 360 turnaround miracle before the end of this year IJN. “Ask and I will give the Nations to you says our God” all that matters is our relationship with Him once we are on the right track, He is more than able to bless us according to His riches in glory. Honda fit turn to private Jet, bo se wu Oluwa lo n sola! God bless us all IJN.

People can talk sha…have any of you heard any of his songs. He’s been singing all his life and he has many songs and has only released a few. Most off you barely know him
He loves being a pastor and he loves rapping
Its a bit of a change to what I’m used to from him though cos most of the songs I’ve heard he raps all through, I would have preferred he shot a video for the two songs I like Proverbs 31 and the second one I think its called CIA. And I dont like rap but I trailed those two songs on the radio when I first heard till I found out who the artist was.
