Pres. Buhari Appoints Aliyu Aziz as New DG of NIMC

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Aliyu Aziz as the new director-general and CEO of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).

Abdul-Hamid Umar, NIMC’s general manager for corporate communications, announced the news via a statement, Cable reports.

The statement reads in part:

Aziz was a pioneer staff of NIMC and the director, information technology/National Identity database department of NIMC before he retired in 2014.

With more than 30 years of post qualification experience in engineering and information technology, spanning both the private and public sectors, Aziz holds a B.Eng in civil engineering and M.Sc in Structural Engineering with Specialty in Computer Aided Design from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria.

      Nigerians are very lenient with northerners, even when they are tribalist. They ruined the country, but they dont get as much insult, criticism as obasanjo and jonathan. Its interesting.

    Well after all the atrocities our man from Delta did in NIMC (ask individuals who worked there), I don’t think anyone should complain about a northerner there. Even employees at NIMC are happy cause the northerner would at least be “fair” compared to the southerner that is leaving.
