4 Beauty Queens star in CookieSkin’s 2nd Beauty Is Confidence campaign

CookieSkin Beauty is Confident Part 2 IMG_8695aThe CookieSkin #BeautyIsConfidence campaign grew from Leslie Okoye’s desire to not only to redefine the meaning of beauty amongst women of colour but to strengthen the confidence and self-esteem of African women globally.

The campaign broke earlier in the year with Funke Akindele, Ama K. Abebrese and Sylvia Nduka in the first #BeautyIsConfidence campaign video that can be seen here.

Joining Leslie Okoye this time in the campaign in sharing that the modern day definition of beauty should not be based on unattainable standards or media trends are Beauty queens – Powede Lawrence, Ezinne Akudo, Chinyere “Chichi” Adogu and Vivian Udemba.

well done on this campaign! I lovingly criticised the 1st campaign but this one looks a 100 times better. Even though the ladies probably have some makeup, it looks a lot more natural!

    Kudos Mrs cookie skin x

Lol Linda, thishas to be the most tongue in cheek comment I’ve ever heard! Why a cookie anyway, why not an akara, okpa or masa skin campaign? Curious.

Why do these Nigerians that have lived in America specifically come back home with all this “women of colour” nonsense? We are all Nigerians here. we are all black and we have no issues with being black! Thank you very much!

Ps: would have made more sense if they had used normal women and not “beauty queens”.
