Yesterday news broke that singer Mary J. Blige and her husband of 12 years Kendu Isaacs were getting a divorce. Her husband, who also happens to be her longtime manager, hasn’t released a statement however Mary J. Blige has.

Through her rep she said “Ms. Blige is saddened to say [that] it is true that she has filed for divorce, saying sometimes things don’t work how we hoped they would… but, there is a divine plan and a reason for everything. Mary will continue writing and working on her album, which is due out later this year along with her world tour. She thanks and appreciates her fans for their support and love through this very difficult emotional time.”

This is going to be one hell of an album with emotion, I trust Mary to pour all her emotion into this album.

I hope Ms Mary finds peace in her decisions. She’s been through so much, but she’s a strong woman. She worked hard for this relationship, took the guys kids as hers even, no one knows exactly what happened. May they both find peace. I wish her a boom album, for consolation at least. I love her a lot.

Wit her rule of her hubby having no female friends and her having no male friends, it might have kinda put tension on dia marriage.

There have been on and off divorce rumours for years. I hope the divorce is amicable. 12 years is still a long time, though I do not think all 12 years have been joyful. It takes a lot to keep a marriage happy, love is not enough.
