C.Woermann Nigeria celebrates 50 Years of Service
Last week, C.Woermann (Nigeria) Ltd., a company that provides Nigerian companies with access to high quality technical equipment and services, celebrated 50 years of doing business in Nigeria with a press conference and a celebratory dinner at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Ikeja GRA.
At the press conference, the Managing Director, C.Woermann, Klaus Okunowski described the company’s fifty years in Nigeria as a major achievement made possible by its loyal customers, employees, and the enabling environment attributable to the Nigerian government. The MD spoke extensively with journalists on the company’s experience in Nigeria and its plans for the future of C. Woermann in Nigeria. The celebration was capped off with an elegant dinner which had notable stakeholders in
attendance like the Olu of Mushin land, Oba Fatai Aileru, the Chairman of Mushin local government, Hon. Olanrewaju Bamigboye, the Consular General of Germany, Dr Stefan Traumann, and some Directors of C. Woermann Axel Kuppe and Detlev Woermann (a 5th generation member of the Woermann family).
Highlights from the event include entertaining performances from top violinist; Godwin Strings, and the Afrika Image Dance troupe. Management of C. Woermann also presented an award to its longest serving employee, Lateef Adeneye.
