Here’s how You can donate to December to Remember Orphanage Outreach

‘December to Remember’ is the largest coalition of volunteers passionate about making the yuletide season a ‘December to Remember’ for orphans across Africa. Since 2016, we have been mobilizing resources from kind-hearted donors and donating gift items such as food, provision, clothes and more (as requested by the orphanages). Our motto is simple: Give a gift. Touch a life. Make a difference.

Why we started Dec2Rem

Ruth is a 10-year-old orphan with battered shoes, a hunger-stricken face and a hair full of ringworm. She shared a toothbrush, barely took her bath with soap and hoped every day to eat at least 2 times a day, alongside 50 orphans in a tiny orphanage at Osun state, Nigeria. We sought to help orphans like Ruth

In 2017, we reached over 3000 orphans across 5 African Countries (Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Sierra Leone, and Cameroon) & 50 orphanages. We provided orphans with food sufficient for a month, free medical care, clothes, toiletries, books & a message of hope and love. Over 800 volunteers participated. We had media support from BellaNaija, Safiya TV, SplashFM, NTA, WFM, Metro FM, Breez FM, Oodua FM & Kwara State Broadcasting Corporation. #dec2rem2017 generated thousands of impressions & set social media on fire.

We now want to reach 1 million Ruths

Lao Tzu once said “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”

This December, our goal is to put a smile on the face of 1 million orphans in Africa by providing not just food, but equipping caregivers with practical entrepreneurial skills & tools so they can run profitable businesses together with the orphans, who then become self-reliant during 3 days of vocational training (Wednesday, December 19th, Thursday, December 20th, Friday, December 21st). It’s happening live with its finale on Saturday, December 22nd, 2018! You are specially invited to join us as we celebrate with the orphans!
