Dare2Dream Launches for Season 2! Photos from the Press Conference & Launch Party with Banky W, Ono Bello, Maje Ayida & More

The brainchild of Italian fashion brand, Kinabuti – ‘Dare2Dream‘ launched on Friday 13th November for its 2nd season at Chocolat Royal/Metisse Restaurant with a press conference & fun launch party!

Present at the Press conference were Uchenna Mojekwu (Head of communications, FCMB), Obi Mbanuzuo (COO, Dana Air), Rich Taksey (Head, Pulse), Ekong Hogard (Editor, The Guardian Newspaper), Shahin Nouri (Cool FM, Wazobia FM, Cool TV, Wazobia TV), Ufuoma Ogeleka (Domino Pizza) and Ucharia Onwuelingo (Nescafe) and the D2D trainers: Maje Ayida (health & lifestyle trainer), Ono Bello (PR Trainer), Shaydee (singing Trainer), Bola Fawehinmi (model Trainer); who met with the media and discussed their participation in Dare2Dream Season2.

Uchenna Mojekwu (FCMB) said “We are truly excited about Dare2Dream Season2 and the amazing personalities coming to share their story and giving masterclasses. After a question & answer session, sponsors, trainers and media partners cut the cake for the launch of the 2nd season of Dare2Dream, and the fun party began on the Chocolat Roayl Terrace! The project, powered by FCMB, is set to search out aspiring models with talents in fashion styling, singing, dancing and presenting with great potentials, and seeks to empower and groom these lives through the tough training at the Dare2Dream academy. This year’s university selections will be holding from November 16th till November 25th, 2015 in;

UNILAG – University of Lagos – November 16th, 17th & 18th | Afebabalola Hall
UNIABJ – University of Abuja – November 19th, 20th & 21st | International Student Center
UNIPORT – University of Port Harcourt – November 23rd, 24th & 25th | Faculty of Art ETF Hall

…with various personalities from media, entertainment joining the team for the castings.

On November 26th, each city’s selected participants will be flown by Dana Air to Lagos to start the intense boot camp which will take place in between Federal Palace Hotel and FCMB HQ. The boot camp will also have sourced leading specialists and celebrities from various fields to offer professional training and masterclasses, giving contestants the keys of further success.

On December 6th at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos, with Maybelline NYNG and Moudon Cadet as technical partners, the grand finale will give the 4 finalists a chance to perform  in front of distinguished jury members & the media. The Winner will receive a cash prize, a contract to become the face of FCMB’s ‘Youth Account’, and will be signed to FEW Model Agency.

The series of reality-episodes will be shown in Ebony Life TV, Africa Magic Urban, Africa Magic Showcase, Silverbird, Cool TV and Wazobia TV from February 2016, and will document the 1-month journey and experience of the participants, their dreams, their fears and the way they overcame them.

The series will be aired on both TV and Web on Pulse.ng, OnoBello.com and ladybrille.com to inspire the new generation and show the world a different image of Nigeria.
