BN Collection to Closet – Maki Oh

We are back with another edition of BN Collection to Closet.
BN Collection to Closet is our way of depicting “the African Fashion industry in Motion.”
Today, we selected a piece by one of our favourite young design labels – Maki Oh.
Maki Oh debuted with the “Everything in Proportion” collection in February 2010.
One of the pieces from that collection was a beautiful batiq print jumpsuit.
We absolutely love the fluidity of this piece.
Moët Hennessy Communications Manager, Tokini Peterside rocked the jumpsuit at the Moët Golden Night event which took place at Rehab some months ago. She paired the dress with thick-strapped gold sandals, a metallic clutch and chandelier earrings. This is a beautiful “sweet and spicy” look, we like the blend of a little bit of edge and lots of feminine sass.

Love d jumpsuit and d fact dat its made from adire.
Is that really Adire? The drapery on the black carpet girl’s make it look really cool.
Its adire/tie&dye on silk…The fluidity on the fabric looks more like silk than cotton..
