BN Style kicked off 2011 with a special feature on the “11 Young, Fabulous & Talented Designers to Watch in 2011″ – Click to Read.
Starting things off with that feature was no accident.
One of BellaNaija’s major goals for 2011 is to promote the next generation of talent across all fields – from fashion to music, movies, science, entrepreneurship and everything in between.
The BN Style team is pushing forward with this mandate, this week, we will be celebrating our “Emerging Fashion Talent Week“.
Everyday of the week, we will feature a lookbook from a promising design label. Some were included in our “11 for 2011″ list and some were not, however they are all immensely talented and breaking boundaries in their own unique ways.

For Day 1 of our Emerging Fashion Talent Week, we have selected designer, EJIRO AMOS TAFIRI, the eponymous label by Yaba College of Technology graduate, Ejiro Amos-Tafiri.
The designer honed her skills as part of the design team at Zizi Cardow and Tiffany Amber. Since she emerged on the scene in 2010, the label has made significant progress. EAT showed at the LPM Grand Marche which took place in December 2011. In 2011, Ejiro Amos Tafiri will be hard at work and hopes to release 3 collections and continue to develop the brand and its client base.
The collection presented here is named “Odyssey” and was created as a special collection for the holiday season.

TOOOOOO much! DEFINITELY one to watch!
I love the designs. Too cool. Ejiro is really talented. I love the dress with the slit. Although I must say I am not a fan of the layout. Its a lookbook, isn’t the focus supposed to be on the outfits? What’s up with the senrenren cutting of the pictures? I can barely see the designs clearly. That’s a major flop. The headbands too aint working for me. Its a collection, not a hippie band.
hmmmm…. not entirely feeling it… like the one with the ankara hand though….
Wow!!! Home girl is on fire!!!! It’s not every day you see collections that are wearable o….Ejiro is on point with her works, and the models looked fabulous!!! I just saved your number sweetheart, you’ll be hearing from me soon!

beautiful x
heart her
So much hotness. I like! I want!
I prefer structured pieces, and Jersey is tacky (no offence to you). I appreciate you efforts, but I think you should use different fabrics! You have some potential, but you need some more trianing, and work for your outfits to look refined and appealing.
yay me…1st to comment, welll the fabrics r beautiful n very much wearable, kudos n keep up
Let me help THE AMAKA; not quite! lol.

I like a lot of the pieces in this collection. I definitely see myself rocking some of them! The purple mini-dress for a girls night out, the black dress with the ankara arm. Really nice.
The styles are not bad but i’ve seen some better pieces from her. The black and ankara sleeved dress is very nice though.
Am I first? LOL…

my cousin!!! well done. i am so proud of u
this is so lovely!!!! Ejiro could u pls teach me how to sew these lovely dresses or recommend any very good fashion school in Nigeria?
Nice!
Congrats eji, quite impressive churn outs. keep it up
Haaaaaaawt
i think sthe clothes are really wearable, therefore good job. i do not think the layout works. the dark patches arent helping as clients need to see the clothes clearly if they are going to buy them.consider lightening it up. beautiful clothes otherwise.
Well done Ejiro! wishing you much success
I remember we used to call you teacher’s pet in C&T because all the C&T teachers loved you and you were always in the sewing room working on your projects. It’s great to see that all the hardwork you put in even from QC days is coming to fruition.
VERY VERY NICE! KUDOS on a well executed job (outfits, there draping/colors, cohesiveness, photography, model and her modeling, etc…).
This is the best collection so far…cant wait to see you at Arise Fashion Week
