It was a tough battle but this weekend at the 4th club gig held at Nu Grotto in Victoria Island, Lagos – Blaise and Jimmy Flames were eliminated.
Lets tell you more about the weekend shows. For the 3rd Hennessy Artistry club gig, the show moved to the mainland where the event was held at the Q Club in Ikeja. It was a different atmosphere from previous gigs – more gritty, as if testing how much they wanted the Hennessy Artistry top prize, the artistes got up close and personal with their fans. One after the other, they performed and the crowd cheered! One contestant was to be eliminated on the day but due to issues at the Volar gig which prevented Mo’Cheddah from performing her 2nd song. Due to that factor, there were no eliminations on the day.
On Saturday 19th September, the artistes woke up knowing that by the end of the day, there was a chance that they would no longer be in contention for the big prize. The gig was held at Nu Grotto – the event was well attended as fans, media, family and well-wishers all gathered to support their own. One by one, the contestants did their thing but sadly 2 had to go. The very talented Blaise and the eclectic Jimmy Flames got their marching orders.
So now we know, the finalists – Bez, Ice Prince and Mo’Cheddah will battle for the win at the grand finale at the Oriental Hotel on the 25th of September 2009.
