The 2014 Soul Train Awards was bigger than it has ever been with BET bringing back legendary stars to own the night as the event held in Orleans Arena, Las Vegas.

Even though the show happened and was filmed yesterday, Friday 7 November, 2014 – it won’t be aired on BET (exclusively) until Sunday, 30 November. But not to worry, BN has got you covered with all the photographic goodness of the show.

The performances were amazing with classic acts like Lil Kim, Da Brat, Missy Elliot, Mase, KC & Jojo and more owning the stage. There were also performances from the new generation stars like Chris Brown, Nico & Vinz, Tinashe, Tank and more.

Wendy Williams was the host and had up to 6 changes. The BET 2014 Soul Train Awards red carpet was co-hosted by Tamar Braxton who stunned in several Roberto Cavalli dresses and sexy RnB singer Tank.

The event was well attended by several stars including Trey Songz, Michelle Williams, Mike Tyson, Floyd Mayweather, Joe, Bill Bellamy, Elle Varner, Sevyn Streeter, B.o.B, Faith Evans, Flavor Flav, Boris Kodjoe, Ledisi, MC Lyte and many more.

My thoughts exactly, The red carpet looks were disappointing and that’s putting it politely.

I will never complain about a Naija red-carpet again.
      What?
      Was it Halloween?
Boris Kodjoe, Laila Ali, and a few troopers tried to fight the good fight of elevating the Soul Train thing but they were outnumbered, outgunned, no chance. Tragic.

DJ spinderella, some Aladdin pants gone wrong situation.
loved that missy Elliot, lil kimmy and mase took d stage, and did anyone notice k-ci & jojo , just awesome.
my best dressed would be Laila ali, boris kodjoe and oohTank , he looked so handsome.
also, why does Luenell feet look so white , whiter than her face, arms and chest… whats up with dat???

WTF are all of these negroes wearing? Michelle Williams looks the best. Her makeup is beautiful.
The hair on these black women is pathetic. Why do Black women (not excluding my people in Nigeria) continue to wear stupid looking hair and makeup despite spending most of their money and children’s money on them? The drag queen look is scary and has to stop.

Black people as usual, tacky, trashy, inappropriate, cheap and unnecessarily revealing. Compare this red carpet to the Country music awards redcarpet.

And the sorry excuse for a human being rears its ugly head. Like they aren’t people of other races who are ” tacky, trashy, inappropriate, cheap and unnecessarily revealing”.

It’s called soul train award for a reason that’s why they are all dressed up like that & not CMA or Grammys red carpet!!!

bruno, please shut that hole you call a mouth. You hate yourself so much cos you are black and there is nothing you can do about that. So you either suck it and accept who you are…or you kill yourself. Tired of your ranting and pretence. Bad Rubbish

Lol at the pic that says “Wendy Williams, da Brat & MC Lyte”, that looks like Pam from Total to me….looks interesting but some of ladies look like they need good bras or the outfits were a bit ill fitting. I’m surprised Ledisi wasn’t there.

Elizabeth, I wondered the same thing. Made my comment before reading the comments or I’d have saved it. They already identified MC Lyte. And I also think it’s Pam from Total, but she’s been gone so long that I’d need to see her without the shades to be sure. Or maybe on film at the Red Carpet or so.

And it’s not K-Ci & Jojo, it’s Jodeci. The whole group performed (Devante and Mr. Dalvin as well.)

      Dear Ashley b,
LOL at your comment. However, as humorous as it is, we are quite saddened that because we are a Nigerian company, it is automatically assumed that we are breaking copyright rules 🙁
Actually, we have the rights to use the photos as well as apply our watermark 🙂

      Enjoy.

Mehn my heart melted when I saw my o’l skul favourite singers of past time, BN thank you for this, now that my appetite is salivating to watch the entire show in the next coming Sundays. I personally love Jodeci, Tank, TYRESE, (I no dey fit shout o). LOL. and of course Pam from Total, MC Lyte. Some of these people I wont even bother mention cause of their razzness na. Haba. So once again I see where our own red carpet goes wrong, we always want to emulate US. Sometimes sha, nothing beats being an original, that said , Lil kim, ah ah, wetin na?
