Big Ups! MC Galaxy’s “Sekem” & Davido’s “Skelewu” featured as Part of the Official Soundtrack for Disney Movie “Queen of Katwe”
This is a major achievement for Nigerian music stars MC Galaxy and Davido! Their songs, “Sekem” and “Skelewu” have both been featured in Disney movie “Queen of Katwe” starring Lupita Nyong’o and David Oyelowo.
Another African star was featured as well, Ugandan artist Eddy Kenzo‘s song ‘Mbilo Mbilo’.
The tracklist for the 2016 movie was recently released and we couldn’t help but spot our African stars getting recognition.

‘Queen of Katwe’ is a 2016 American biographical sports drama film and it depicts the life of Phiona Mutesi, a Ugandan chess prodigy from Katwe who becomes a Woman Candidate Master after her performances at World Chess Olympiads.
