The old saying goes “imitation is the best form of flattery”.

Renowned chef and baker Duff Goldman pointed out similarities between the cake he made for Barack Obama‘s inauguration in 2009 and President Donald Trump‘s in 2017.

Only one problem though, he didn’t make this new one, with a nearly identical design.

Enough already! It’s a cake. Someone somewhere will think up a similar design. It’s not always imitation. Does he have a design patent? If not, he needs to shut it and move on.

Dude isn’t crying though, he’s really just amused as I am. He didn’t write an epistle, he just made a comment. Fashion Designers don’t have a design patent, but when you copy a designer detail by detail, your credibility and talent is questionable.

When we are too quick to answer. Have you no seen that the cake is indeed a replica? The baker of the Trump version made it known that they were asked to replicate the Obama cake design.

With your caption you would think Trump designed the cake *sigh*. It’s a lack of creativity from the Baker

I get what you’re saying but these days it looks like everyone has something to complain about wrt the Trump camp. Plagiarising speeches I can understand. Fashion designers, yes too. But cakes? I don’t get it. Does this could mean that my egusi or banga soup cannot be like another woman’s own? :p
I actually think the person who made the blue one did it with a “tongue out” attitude, like sue me if you can!

Trump & the Republicans hate the Obamas so much but can’t’ stop imitating them. From copying this cake to Melania copying Michelle’s speech. He starts work on Monday & yet has not been able to describe in detail any policy he will implement. He only claims ‘it will be great’. hehehe, it’s going to be fun watching these people for the next 4 years.

Rubbish. please lets all look for something kind to say or do or let us not speak at all.
