Advance Fee Fraud: Seun Egbegbe arraigned in Lagos
Nollywood producer, actor, and marketer, Seun Egbegbe has been arraigned by Lagos Police on 36 counts of Advance Fee Fraud.
On February 2 2017, Seun was arrested by the Lagos State Police for attempting to swindle $9000 and £3,000 from a Bureau de Change operator.
The arrest was made 6 days prior to the day he was supposed to appear before an Ikeja Magistrate’s court for allegedly stealing 9 iPhone 7s.
He was granted bail by Magistrate A. J. Atunwa after he pleaded ‘not guilty’ to the charge in November 2016.
The magistrate admitted him to bail, with two sureties who have N2 million in their accounts, and property in the Ikeja area of Lagos.
The case was then adjourned to February 8 2017.
The police failed to produce Seun in court on February 8, thus that case had to be adjourned to April 12.
Seun was arraigned today for the new case.
