“one of the country’s most beautiful couple…”??!! seriously? They are beautiful alright, but in a country of over 200 million people? definitely not one of the most beautiful!!
Except if take ‘beautiful’ to mean ‘inter-racial’ and even then, they are still not among the most beautiful

    • Icrossmyheart

      February 14, 2017 at 4:42 pm

I think the emphasis is on ‘one’. So if Nigeria has 200 beautiful people and 100 million out of this 200
Million is considered most beautiful then THEY ARE AMONST THE MOST BEAUTIFUL. That is, they are NOT THE MOST BEAUTIFUL but AMONG THE MOST BEAUTIFUL.

I feel that if you are not married to a man, there is no need to start sharing any love story or anything about yourselves on a public stage as this. Just my one cent.

A word of unsolicited advice. Seeking validation or envy from others based on your relationship is asking for a lot of unnecessary negative attention. I don’t know either of these people personally, but trying to get either customers or fame from simply being together since you’re an interracial couple may result in more harm than good. Check out all the people just salivating at the opportunity to spill your “tea”. Instead of putting out this type of paid promotion, how about you each grow your brand and business organically, make a respected name for yourselves, and allowing your relationship to be protected as it blooms into a strong marriage. “Articles” like this just reek of insecurity.

Kai you readers sound like the Police..in fact i will call you all the Bella Naija Law and Order team with all your criticism, scrutiny and analysis on this couple. Meanwhile most Oyibo /white people don’t believe that much in marriage so in this case they might be an oyibo couple not interracial. Bye!

Lol. Awon aye. I KNEW Nigerians would have something to say about them not being married.
You people need to understand marriage does NOT and NEVER WILL be the validation of a relationship. Don’t assume because they are not married they’re relationship is any less valid. I mean married people separate all the time, sooooooooo ….

She is a gorgeous, gorgeous woman. They are in love. They are allowed to celebrate it. Even if tomorrow they decide they are not in love again, they are still allowed to celebrate what they have now. Not everyone cares about marriage the way some of you do. Remember that.

These two again? There is nothing genuine about these ones Biko. Been dating for at least 4 years and the dude still hasn’t popped the question. Girl be fighting dirty with anyone who comes close to her man who by the way needs a rock solid leash. That’s no relationship worth celebrating. Remember her last fight with an innocent chick on IG, she was called out for being paranoid and over sensitive. This ain’t love, this is confused obsession, end of! BN post my comment o.,

for such a pretty’ish babe,Kehinde lacks such self esteem it is not even funny!

Butt of jokes everywhere as she acts like Marek is some god or catch!!
    I laugh!!

Yet dude is just a basic, average looking, average earning, fuckaholic, perverted, limp in the wrist on the side(those who know, know),olosho connoisseur(veteran in the game, card carrying member sef).

Marek and Kehinde is what happens when a Black babe believes a white guy is better to date than a black guy.
Kehinde eye dey see pepper for the “relationship”

Her self esteem is soooo non existent that she dragged a fellow babe because of this aloku oyinbo!

It’s not my place to judge anyones relationship (unless of course they put in in the public space). That said, I know marriages are failing left right and centre, but I am genuinely concerned that we are losing our values as a society. I’m all for love and everything, but I believe if a guy truly loves you, he’ll put a ring on it. Especially if he knows what kind of society you come from, where this ‘perpetual girlfriend’ thing is not accepted. I know many western cultures don’t care about marriage anymore, but I feel like in this case, if he truly loved and respected her, he would get engaged to her, and show that he is serious. The girl is brave for putting their ‘love’ out there like that, when she knows full well, she’ll get judged.

PS. they do look gorgeous together.

I like a Kehinde’s business as in her salon is gorgeous and her hair business. I’ve followed her on Instagram and what she did to Ronke was very nasty. They’re a beautiful couple but we praise interracial couples so much in Nigeria ( that’s a diff story for another day) .

However the photos are amazing they should have saved them for pre wedding whatever !

@Tokstarr the Fakestarr, please do you mean he has feminine qualities, or a sexual desire to be with other men, or the classic when a gay man’s wrist falls limp to form a 90-degree angle with his forearm? Haba, woman/man, this is too close to home o!

    Beautiful pictures!

PLEASE THIS IS NOT THEIR CASE BIKO- I’m just bored with my thesis dissertation.

In Fanon’s “Black Skin White Masks”, he begins his analysis of interracial relationships by examining the case of ‘The Woman of Color and the White Man’. He defines love as ‘wishing for others what one postulates for oneself when this “postulate” integrates the permanent values of human reality’ and assumes that real love cannot exist if there is a feeling of inferiority on any side.

He goes on to analyze the relationships or want of relationships of a ‘black’ woman: Capécia. She is a black woman in love with a European, filled with insecurities and only feels herself to be in love with this European because of the status symbol it provides her and the privileges her own society would bestow on her. Her ‘preference’ comes from social perceptions and expectations- she is led to believe that associating herself with a white man will increase the quality of her life.

Please she is not trying to ‘lactify’ her lineage but just another viable option, and she clings to the white “other” because in the world they lived in it was just better to be white.
To be adamantly against a romance that is built on trying to achieve status and privilege is interesting. Fanon said “you are rich because you are white, you are white because you are rich”. Please if the white men were the gatekeepers of wealth, it only made sense to try and become whiter and by logic become closer to wealth.

Dear BN readers, please what would be the rationale for a relationship if the black woman is wealthier, prettier and more intelligent than the white man? Love?? Please share your thoughts.

And when it’s a black man chasing any thing in white skin regardless of how flabby and ugly she is? Please spare me. You only get mad when it’s a black woman and a white man. Where is this ‘theorising” when it’s the other way around. Black men are the ones who date white women out of insecurity and inferiority. Fact.
