She said of her journey: “There were times when the store was empty and no one was buying anything but I would come in every day. It became my day job as I had quit my regular paying job…So many people told me to close shop, count my loss and even operate solely online….but that was not an option for me, as an online store was always meant to compliment Mosé physical retail space ”. Her resilience has finally paid off.

The Omonomosé-in-Chief wants to revolutionize beauty retail in Africa. She is set to create a world class beauty retail chain of stores housing both international and African brands. The Mosé Store seeks to be the go-to store for beauty products, particularly for specially curated African Brands.

The store seems to cater more to skin care. Sephora and Ulta have a good mix of make up, hair and skin care brands.. The store also looks smaller than expected . Can’t blame me for saying that, there are too many pictures of who attended and less of the store itself. Too much P. R…I mean gosh. Meanwhile the founder of this store should set up an online store asap. That’s how to reach people far and wide. It’s the internet that enhanced the success of Sephora and the likes. Shipping internationally is an ultimate vision. Thank me later

Did they say ‘African tea party’?! Where are the pics of the teas, cakes, cupcakes, scones et al? I was looking forward to seeing their African approach to the tea party concept. Or an ‘African tea party’ refers to the explosion of African prints??

I was going to say “Mocheddah where have you been!” and then I looked down. Oh, you’ve been bleaching all this while!!! Carry on Olenu. Nice to finally put faces on the Faari by Sisi Ope and T.Alamode brands. Amazing MUAs these two. Look at Ceasar, Eva’s ex boy boy looking like a subsistence farmer. Ngwanu.

Nigerian women should focus on skin care not pancake, foundation and their ilk. Our weather is unforgiving for too much make up. Nija ladies have taken this foundation thing to hideous levels. Hope this store promotes more of a skin care regimen than pancake and foundation.

Love the colours. The fresh faces. Love the fact that we are embracing more of our own locally sourced ingredients to build our own brands. Good luck.
