Nigeria is mourning the death of a midwife with the International Committee of Red Cross who was killed by Boko Haram terrorists days ago.

Saifura Hussaini Ahmed Khorsa, a 25 year old midwife who moved to Rann to help vulnerable women in need. Saifura, her colleague at the ICRC Hauwa Mohammed Liman and Alice Loksha, a nurse working in a UNICEF-supported centre, were abducted by Boko Haram in Rann, Kala-Balge Local Government Area of Borno State in March.

She was brutally murdered by the terrorist sect who have also threatened to kill the other health workers as well as Leah Sharibu, TheCable reports.

Saifura was shot from the back by the terrorists, the paper said a video it obtained showed.

“We contacted the government through writing and also sent audio messages but the government have ignored us. So, here is a message of blood. The other nurse and midwife will be executed in similar manner in one month, including Leah Sharibu,” TheCable quoted a spokesman of the group as saying.

The United Nations, President Muhammadu Buhari, Amnesty International, and International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) have condemned the killing.

Heart rending news. May her soul rest in peace. Foolish barbarians.
As for @Ndi Kato, speak for yourself. You are wicked to wish harm upon your countrymen, many of which are unaware of this sad occurrence. I look forward to you doing more about the situation than sitting in your room tweeting rubbish.

When will the Federal government admit publicly that there’s a civil war going on in the country? And when will they admit that they are not winning this war?
