BN Red Carpet Fab: The Future Awards 2009
You can never predict what you are going to see on the Future Awards red carpet. Browsing through photos from most events, you can pretty much ascertain the dress code – Casual, Business Casual, Cocktail, Formal, Black Tie etc…The same cant be said for the Future Awards and I guess that is part of its appeal! When a bunch of young people who are not afraid to break the rules come together, what else do you expect? So rather than do a fashion review, we’ll just spot the looks and leave it to YOU to tell us what you loved!

i like omowunmi’s dress/outfit!….i would’ve opted for the attatched rose w/o the bow tho…it was almost overshadowing the dress. mimi’s outfit is cute too…a bit casual for an award show tho.
for the men’s..i like ebuka’s ‘fit.
omotola does not fail 2 disappoint..is she wearing her daughter’s prom dress? and steph didnt really “bring it” this time.

i like Omowunmi’s dress/outfit(minus the clutch)….i would’ve opted for the attatched rose w/o the bow (it was almost overshadowing the dress) and a gold or green satin-y clutch instead.
Mimi’s outfit is cute too and her makeup on point!…the outfit is a bit casual for an award show tho.
for the men’s..i like ebuka’s ‘fit.

bella really selected the best of the bunch ’cause i saw some pretty horrific outfits @ purefoto.com. some dresses were really, really off and some of the shoes…UGH!!!!!!! on a more positive note, mimi looks the most well put together and she does look very pretty, but she could’ve stepped it up a notch…omawunmi definitely gets a notable mention for throwing some edginess into the mix…i like the idea of tosyn’s aso-oke corset…omowunmi’s outfit needs to be tweaked but there’s something charming about it…ebuka definitely takes best dressed male in my book…eunice really should’ve worn different shoes…linda’s outfit is a little flat, etc. etc. all in all, not terrible but no one knocked the wind outta my lungs. this selection is by no means representative of how stylish young nigerians are. i wish more of them would come out of hiding and keep the others on their toes.

I’m so impressed this time around. Bella, thanks for not showing the ones that were already arrested by fashion police. Omowunmi, is just a natural beauty, I forgot the names, but the sweeping beauties brought elegance, classy, and sohistication. Actually, everybody looked hot. Is that Ebuka dude married, tell him to holla @ me. My number is —lol
