From the questionnaire answers she sounds too shallow to really be ‘beauty n brains’……nice pics though. All da best
http://www.weddingsetal.blogspot.com
I know right! Who describes themselves as “pretty”? You’re cute and everything but ummm..
That is exactly what I thought oh! I was like since when was being pretty a description of yourself. Beauty is subjective.
dis babe fyn bt she no try 4 disinterview. check out “MBGN 2011: How unSOPHISTICATED for Miss World. ” @ http://mynaijalifestyle.blogspot.com
I’m telling you the whole thing was a hoax, she def had connections and whatnot!! SHE WORWOR die
i agree
I have to agree.. an what exactly is she about?
nice
she’s nice looking but i dont think her answers are well put together. She needs to put acrossw her thoughts in anintelligent manner.
I’m not hating, just suggesting.
Am the first. i like it
Nawa for ur English sha o..sentence construction toh badt gaan.
yimu……20 years 0ld indeed, i wish her all the best, hope she makes the top 10 or top 5 @least
LOOOL @Yimu…. joka.. havent heard that word in ages…
Seriously she’s just ok to me, no wao effect at all. besides those ans are way too shallow. Anyways all da best.
she is not really beautiful .. i hope she’s intelligent enough to cover up the beauty aspect
exactly nothing wow about her answers…………………i`d like 2 think she is a blonde nigerian…..
lmao @ ‘blonde nigerian’…hilarious..
very shallow
the answers are really not werking for me….especially the “proud moment” part. wish her the best sha
http://lucianochinwe.blogspot.com/
PLS MAKE US PROUD.THATS ALL I VE TO SAY.
for example,future ambition-NGO.I kind of NGO.pls research more and seek GOD’s WISDOM.luck luck.go bring back d crown.
hahaha..lwkmd I wonder o…stereotype answers
My goodness sylva bird and the organizes of MBGN should be ashamed of themselves she is pretty no doubt about that but so are thoes latina and european girls what makes you stand out is your brains and your personality i do not see any brains in thoes answers up there i think sophia gamal had more personality than her. and please what is it with the weaves its too much
How do they pick beauty queens these days? Do I just have 2 have a fair spotless skin, be tall and slim and wear a long weave? if a secondary school student fills out a questionaire like this she should be flogged. Personal Motto do ur thing there is no time.No hope 4 Nigeria.
first of all… there were partial abt selecting her as 2011 mbgn…. shes not all dat, cant express her self….hop she represents nigeria well cos its sliverbird org i blame for this…
Don’t they have a coach? Why are her answers so……empty?
Hmmmmm…as much as i doubt the possibility of us going so far…i can’t help but wish her well. *singing: i believe in miracles…*
Thanks y’all for taking evryword ryt outta my mouth….simply put d girl is ano olodo#ok bye#
“My favorite foods are potatoes n eggs# bleeeh!!! #deathbyadumbqueen!
LWKMD! Funniest comment so far! As for her going far in the Miss World contest, all I can say is that we Nigerians too dey believe in miracles oh!
she is so empty…… i dont see her going anywhere, she cant measure up at allllll
For goodness sakes, these pictures look highly unprofessional, whats with the hair (flying all about with the updo hair style) Silver bird, please do learn to package your products well. This pictures are just not doing the magic, also the question and answer aspect is dammmmmn to shallow, she doesn’t not need to speak grammar, but she should be well groomed to answer questions professionally, its a learning process. For goodness sake we can forgive two baba, when he uses his slang ‘No time or nothing dey hapen’ but certainly not in this case, i take personal exception that such should be posted on the net. haba, prove us wrong that this was not all about “arrangee”
MY TOTS EXACTLY, wen i read the questionaire i was wondering whether the chik has no coach, and some of these answeres are criterions for determining a winner in the internationall finals.
no be for naija where they can’t scrutinize properly to get them beauty and brains.
Presently Nigeria isn’t peaceful. She needs more coaching in my opinion, wish her luck though!
Thank you o. my exact thought. Peaceful ke? What a white lie. She is pretty though, but as we say, “na pretty we go chop?”
My thoughts exactly.. I think she should have something alongside the truth such as Nigeria is a country of culture, family and heritage and our pride lies with our young, vibrant and versatile entrepreneurs that are doing massive things for Nigeria right now. These includes the entertainment industry, fashion, food etc…
She herself should add: I hope to do my part too, by taking part in a successful competition such as Miss World will build my networks, associates and development.
Being honest and transparent sells more than anything.. ask the current Miss Universe.. Angola Babe.(her name is on BN).
In fact I can help her re-write all her words… The thing about advertising yourself is to remeber to engage ur audiences… FOCUS IS WHO IS READING THIS PIECE.. HENCE, u must consider what the perceptions, image and opinions people will form of u.
U must speak from the heart but with a twist (hardwork of marketing babybee)..
Well hire me if u need a PR……(winks).
http://lifeinstagesdoz.blogspot.com
OMG!!!!! Slyva, how on earth do you want to represent the good people of Nigeria?? Upgrade your answers to the questions so that the World doesn’t think we are a bunch on brainless fellows in this country.
For example, if they ask you to tell us a little something about your Country? Nigeria is made up of 36 states, with a diverse population of 150 million people, comprising three main ethnic groups; Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo Nigeria. The country has a huge oil deposit, producing 2.3 mertic tonne per barrel. The point of such a question is to sell your country rather than shame the Nation.
Please ohh!!!!!!!! Slyva step up your game, or better still come for additional training
Some of her pics r really nice but she looks old in some as well but her answers 2 d questions r shallow dey sound like she was bin told wat 2 say, hmmm top 10sha I pray ooh…. taut she had sum yawa wit dem MBGN? Guess dey ve sorted it out. Sha all d best sha but I knw she is gonna end up like den dos MBGN dat we didn’t anytin about after awhile
Uhmm, she said Nigeria is a peaceful country *cough*. If she is supposed to be a beauty queen and can’t say the truth about Nigeria and stand for the injustice in Nigeria, then what is she doing? Didn’t they move a beauty contest from Nigeria because the muslims were killing people saying they didn’t want it. Nigeria is peaceful my foot.. With all that is happening in Jos?
Sorry her answers were not the best. She enjoys researching? Doesn’t she have a PR person that reads this response before it is uploaded for the whole world to see. She is supposed to be coached and prepared for this, so it is not her fault. It’s the fault of those who crowned her that didn’t train her.
she totally needs to be well groomed……….I completely agree with Rissa, its unacceptable and inappropraite to use words like “no time” or “do your thing” sounds raw nd pidgin english translated.***** Shouting out loud*** She nids proper grooming!!!!
Future Ambition: to establish an NGO?! Wharraheck. She seems vapid and empty to me. She’s going to be competing with prettier and smarter girls. One whould think Silverbird will take the pains to groom her properly. NGO? what kind of NGO? she likes to research- research what? What areas of human endeavour or even animal behaviour does she find interesting enough to research on? Nigeria is a peaceful country, full stop? This girl must have come from the moon not to have heard of boko haram, the kidnappings etc going on in Nigeria. Nigeria definitely has its selling points and peaceful;ness is definitely not one of them at this point in time. Haaaaaa. Miracles still happen sha. PSCHEW!
Nigeria is nt peaceful @ d moment.she sounds shallow.aw come dey always claim claim 20 bt look older dan dat.*wondering*
Wow such bland answers, makes you wonder whether she has any true substance to make a difference!
OMG!!! bowing my head in shame and embarrassment…..well you guys have said it all.really dont have anything much to add.but i wud suggest she stays back in NIGERIA,instead of waisting her time and money travelling for the contest.
Peronal motto ”do your thing -theres no time” seriouslly????
LOL, this is a joke. Honestly, are there no girls in Nigeria who are up to Miss World standard in terms of beauty AND can hold their own in a conversation? Silverbird, y’all need to go back to the drawingboard…and fire your scouts. Or at least invest in some heavy-duty training for these girls, beginning with basic English grammar, and I suspect diction, lessons.
oh no, really sm1 should hav helped her. pretty n hilarious? waaaaaaaaat? where did words like focused, determined, strong willed … got to? hope she wont be judged on this. any other facts – travelling? awwwwwww eeeeeeya. i really feel bad for her. its so unfair that no1 around her could help her fill this out. very wicked friends n family she must have
Lol, Im loving ur comment….I highly agree
Too shallow for me liking…
Future ambition… to open an NGO, blahhh, pls tell the truth, like I wish to further my studies to the Masters level, have a great job in… and hopefully opening an NGO with what I have earned and help the less privileged. How many pple nowadays just want to “HELP THE LESS PRIVILEGED” PLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She should have just written “do ya thing” and in bracket put (naija slang), ode beauty queen. SMH
Does she look ,act, stand, talk, make up,dress like a QUEEN? NOPE.
Pls teach her bruce
can a beauty queen be more shallow than this.?……SMH
her ,most memorable day was a visit to the orphanage, please!!!!!
Again I ask, how did this girl do it?
perrrfeeecttt!**
this girl is at least 26, 20 my arse…………..and she’s really dumb too, olodo rabata
how did she manage to get to d top 10 in d MGBN competition to d point of winnin….first of al ders nothin sooo pretty about her plus she just proved she doesn’t hav d brains too. wat dumb answers. Nigeria is presently not perceived in gud light around d world as it is so she shudn’t evn complicate it further by givin dem a reason to focus on us in a bad way again. if it means silverbird writin down potential Q&A for her n she crammin d answers, dey shud do it….atleast her brain shud be able to handle dat. And d age thingy, she is soooo not 20.
why the harsh criticism??? You can’t even write simple English, not to talk of spelling properly and here you are, criticizing someone who is beautiful, smart and confident enough to try her luck in a major beauty pageant. You and other Nigerians might not think likely of her but people overseas appreciate Nigerian beauties. Remember Agbani Darego?? No one thought much of her but she came from nowhere to win the Miss World pageant and she is not as pretty as Slyvia Nduka. I am frankly tired of Nigerians and all that negativity
someone is stating the obvious, olodo dey look english, truth is she is dumb. we all know these things are fixed but this is the worst silverbird churn out. that babe is about 27, me thinks she only said 20 so by the time we add 3years the joke ll still be on us, na only there she attempt to get small sense. sophie looks more like 20, sylvia ur yeye dey make me vex
rania, ur either silvia or her sister maybe her mother, really are u dis daft? if it was a Ghanaian queen who answered her questions like dis, without content, wouldn’t u criticize? but because she carries u around for events n gives u small change u have to lie, my dear u better do u thing as our dear daft queen has said as life is too short
LOL Nigeria can kiss Miss World good bye! She’s not all that pretty and to top it off she’s shallow and seems dumb. How dare she give such answers to a questionnaire that will be read by people all over the world? I will not root for her *nonsense*. I hope other African countries have better candidates? I will be rooting for them instead of this Nigerian blonde.
All I can say is… she needs a review.. and an indepth one too.
This is not adding to her popularity contest.
Babes, if u are reading this, pls request for a new interview and shed some real lights on the questions.. I think that would be a bonus…
but she is goodlooking….
thanks to photoshop
Answers were too shallow. Not specific and detailed enough. For example her answer on the question of what is her future ambition was too general. Every tom, dick and harry knows what an NGO is. She could have stated what exact type of NGO she wants. She is ok in looks. I think I would have preferred the MBGN universe instead for her position. The judges for MBGN should pick smarter girls for the winners so that naija can have the chance in d miss world / universe. No offence but whoever wins MBGN world/universe/tourism is not just repping herself but reping the whole of naija.
For the First Time in a very LONNNNNNNGGGGGGG time, BN readers are actually commenting honestly on an article without pple screaming bad belle this, bad belle that. I must say, im really impressed and extremely tickled by everyone’s comment…
Naija no dey carry last, but this time we shall
That was toooo hilarious!!
this girl is up to 30yrs, so why d lie of being 20yr. She look so old pls.
How can u train a shallow person in such a short while, or even help her answer these simple questions. U groom People to be graceful. Its gonna take a miracle to turn a dumb queen into a smart, intelligent person, that thinks on her feet imagine she had enough time to fill out this question, wat of when she is on stage and just has split seconds to think. The problem started with the selection; they have to look for beauty and brains not BEAUTY and good english
OMDzzzzzzzzzzz.I’m so embarrassed….Sylvia you are truely dumb.Wharraheck is “No time”….its so razz ewwww.I don’t know y pple r complaining abt her weave,as a beauty kwin dyu expect her to use synthetic kmt.Guy bruce ur kwin is just too dumb,I hope she doesn’t gbagaun on stage in london this november…it will be a shame.she couldn’t win mbgn free n fair its now miss world, dream on#Mbgnrazzestquin
I know that Bella will Probably not post this.
Before you people crucify the girl, you should know that these pictures are not professional pics. They were taken off her facebook page and this is not a real interview, it was taken from the Miss World Contestant profile page. It’s a short profile interview.
So she ike potatoes , so what?!
I’m sure most of the naysayers aren’t even comfortable in their own skin.
She is a beautiful girl, deal with it!
She is intelligent. Yes she is. Deal with that too!
thank you o!
researching what???? made an impact on the children’s lives how????? do your thing – there’s no time *huh??????* jeeze! abeg abeg abeg this girl is clueless!
smh, am not surprised. this is the kind of dumb answer she gave and she was crowned queen. nigeria is a country that has a place for tourism????wat in God’s name does that mean????do u think pple around the world do not knw that we are unstable at the moment so who exactly are we fooling????i read an article where she said she fidgeted on stage cos it was her first time in a contest. she was miss kaduna in the miss nigeria pageant last year and she was furious when she ddnt make top 10 and she broke her miss kaduna plaque. u got the crown on a lie and yu tell more lies to keep it. shallow answers i must confess, but at least be smart enuf to let someone else write the answers for yu cos ur dumb answers wont do us justice as a nigerian woman and as a country…the answers i have read on the comments so far shld help, u can copy them for starters. silverbird* thumbsdown* the queens get dumber by the year.
NGOs must be so lucrative to make it a future ambition. What will be the focus of the NGO? May be one based on researching for the poor.
You guys have said it all. I mean seriously, where is the originality? the very thing that makes her who she is? Her “proudest moment/most memorable day” comment? Puhlease… Her future ambitions? “NGO”… nothing wrong with that but it is such a cliche. Overall? She’s like bread and butter. Bland, boring but bearable. I still think that there is a interesting element to her that she is supressing. In the last picture of her, that part peeks out a bit….just a teeny bit.
My God….Bellanaija comments is by far the cheapest comedy u can get anywhere in the universe!!! Too funnie! hehehehehehehehe
hahahahahahaha *rolling oooo* personal motto: do ur thing no time.. like serzly?? wow. i dont like talking negative so im just gonna seal my lips.. just couldnt help laughing out loud
Ok. I am here and I hope Bellanaija posts my comment today.
I am not surprised at her answers cos she was neither the prettiest nor the smartest at the MBGN competition and I still wonder how she won. But since she has gotten here MBGN organisers please brush her up. You put her there so make it right. Please do not fall naija’s hand.
She looks her age. you guys are just hating
BTW We are not winning but I think we already know that.
if she thinks this is wat will get her d crown in Miss World paegent den she must be dreaming. She’s just beauty with no brain
if she’s 20 den am 12!!!
Lmao
they could ve done better but all the best to her….GODBLESS.
20 years????
show me a birth certificate. no be affidavit o!!
this girl MBGN? Ben Bruce don fall my hand big time.
Ben Bruce has undone all his good works of over 2 decades in one move. The girl is even barely literate. it is obvious from her answers,so bland, uninspiring and even laughable. the answers sound like they were memorized.
why cant ppl be honest, tell them u want the money and fame..plsss stop faking abt the orphanage and the crap becos relly u wont even turn round to see who is suffering and who is not…
pretty girl but knuckle knees? no way in hell she can win the crown but the girl fine o!
potato and eggs as her fav food??????
LWKMD for all these comments. It will be very unfair for her to be in the top 20. She is currently a student…. STUDENT OF WHERE????
She is cute though!. but “Potatoes and eggs”??…..pls!!
What’s up with all these beef about this Sister? This is our own person, a fellow Nigerian working so hard to do us proud @ the world stage. She has not stepped out yet & we have already started to make rubbish of her efforts. For goodness sake why do we like pulling down our own before the entire world when they try to go out there to make us proud.I beg make una leave dis sister alone o! If una think she isn’t fine enough, then make una go out there to try for una self. Cheap Haters!
nw…….can u guys do better……..
There is no time- do your thing?? Na wa o!!! this is falling of hand
Jealousy, Jealousy is the root of all evil! Go marry a boko Haram biko
i so much appreciate u guys for being truthful and straight. God bless u all.
LoooooLLL
for future interviews, i’d suggest the questions are first posted on Bella,we respond (intelligently) and then she’s coached or crams the responses…..or she just takes the pictures and the answers are just printed.she does’nt have to speak…..i’m afraid she may give question 3 the answer of question 9!
“with place for tourism”?? what is that please..
the first answer put me off already…meanwhile these comments are more than hilarious..LOOOL
Short summary… beauty with no brain
Black dress, is dat K leg? #jussayin
the first four photos do not look like her
smh for all d grls who tink its all bot fame n money.brought up dis discussionn
N my supposed frnd finks all des comments is cos of jealousy….pls u can be
A queen n all dat but cos u re shallow u ain’t going no whr…..smh for some gals sha
she’s beautiful enough..but her answers are very shallow..and we all know there are one million and one more beautiful ladies out there…the distinguishing factor should be intelligence…and her answers arent intelligent enough
She is pretty but I don’t like the hair…too much, covers her face. Also, her answers don’t seem real to me. Looks like someone typed them up and gave her to answer. I did not learn anything about her from that interview. I don’t believe the NGO responses either.
luks beautifull……………..
I think she needs polishing when it comes to answering questions. she needs to be brushed up. No one has it all.
omg!!!!!!!!! like seriously? a beauty queen?? no time do ur thing? best food, potatoes n eggs? like seriously? Father Lord!!! this cant be more dumb n empty!!! Gees #mouth agape
I felt same thing when i read the answer to the first question. This couldn’t have been a coincident that over 90 person will say the same thing over an issue. I almost have not seen such sincerity from Nigerians before. I want to assume that her answers were summarised, and these are not the exact answers she gave, cos if they her, then this lady must be a “bimbo”. For example, she should take lesson from Drama queen. That how to answer a question. It should be constuctive, exact, and concise. I want to say here that the aspect of you loving research didnt show in the way you answered those question. All the same good luck.
I am very embarrassed! This girl should not be allowed out of this Country for that contest. She will further damage the not-so-good reputation of Naija. We dont lack pretty and intelligent girls who can us proud if only the the organisers will be/were objective in the selection process. Her answers has left me sad and worried, she does not have what it takes to represent Naija at all!!!!
She is 20 oHHHHHHHh.haba!!!!!! She is young that’s why her answers are a bit silly.i am sure she will learn with time.
She is young and she is pretty. Her answers are not the best but it is something that can be worked on. People should learn to support and criticize in a positive way!!!
I was cringing at the part were she says, visiting an orphanage was the most memorable moment of her life. Nne, why these answers naaaaaa, maka why?!
I hate being the bearer of bad news, but since many fellow “commenters” have spoken, let me just echo it back. NIGERIA IS NOT BRINGING HOME THE MISS WORLD CROWN THIS YEAR. (If we do, I will eat my…… *thinking* …… AHA!…… my weave.)
Being serious now,
I have noticed numerous flaws which might work against her quest for the Miss World 2011 crown.
1. She might not be shallow per se, but might be acting out someone else’e script that was written for her. (or maybe she is just plain dumb O_o )
2. She is nice looking but a bit too old for a twenty year old ( I know what a real twenty year old Nigerian girl looks like)
3. Her posture in the third and fourth photos was terrible for a queen in the making. (She needs a LOOOTTTT of coaching on that)
On Questions and her answers now… *sigh*
4. Nigeria has not been a peaceful country for a very very long while now. (I do not know what rock she was hiding under) and the only tourism we have in Nigeria is Obudu ranch and Yankari in Bauchi (and I do not think anyone in their right minds will like to venture into Bauchi now due to fear of their lives)
5. ………….
I could continue pointing out all of these and really dissect this article but Im feeling kinda lazy.
I just want to say that i have seen preetier branier girls than her that could bring home the crown. I kinda feel that the MBGN organisers just want girls that fit into the “oyinbo” category of beautiful which is light skin, high cheekbones, tall, skinny, etc. There are so many Naija girls that do not fit into this category but are really beautiful in their own way and that is what we need to focus on.
Anyway, I dont really blame her for being brainless, with the collapse of our educational system and ……………………………
Abeg, I don tire!
i’m totally impressed with d comments you’ve all posted it really says a lot about wat we stand for as a nation, no one stated anything based on tribal sentiments rather you gave constructive criticism…..the future of this country lies in our professionalism an synergy. happy independence
I can imagine how this girl would feel if she reads all this…..if you ever read this babez, just know this: you might not be perfect but you can get better, you might have been so ignorant to exposure growing up, but you are not the only ignorant person in nigeria, you have this position for a purpose, so find it and fulfil it. Finally you have won this crown without all these commentators (including me) so you certainly do not need them to tell you what you are and not. you’re a bold and confident girl, bold enough to step out to participate in a nationwide pagent. you are a beautiful girl and you are now representing the beautiful women of Nigeria, so like you said go out and do your thing, and very very soon all your critics would go into hiding. keep believing in yourself and look unto God for that is where your help comes from and also do not forget to keep building and educating yourself there is no graduation in self development even the perfect commentators here cannot graduate from it.
…and this girl represented Nigeria @ The Miss Universe Pageant!
Stunning!!!

I had a hilarious time reading this.
