Watch Viola Davis’ Emotional Speech on Growing up with Hunger at the Variety’s Power of Women Luncheon

The star of new series “How to Get Away With Murder” – Viola Davis recently attended the Variety’s Power of Women luncheon where she spoke about her work with the ‘Hunger Is‘ Campaign and growing up with hunger as a child.

During her speech Viola talked about how she stole, jumped in garbage bags, used people to get food and how her childhood was “spent in abject poverty“. She started her speech by saying “I didn’t join the ‘Hunger Is’ campaign to save the world – I didn’t. I set out to save myself“.
