Love to Love You: Bolarin Biobaku & Olushile Okunowo Wed
Posted on Saturday, October 22nd, 2011 at 10:21 AMBy BellaNaija.com
A mutual friend who had known both Bolarin Biobaku and Olushile Okunowo for several years thought they “might get along” so she introduced them…she was so right! From that simple connection, their relationship progressed as they developed a loving bond. After a fabulously romantic proposal, Bolarin and Shile were blessed as they solemnized their love during their wedding at the Cathedral Church of Christ in Marina, Lagos on Saturday 11th June 2011.
You could feel the love in the air as Bolarin walked down the aisle accompanied by her father. In her exquisitely beaded ivory wedding dress with a cathedral length train and intricately embellished veil, Bolarin looked breathtaking! Shile was dapper in his blue 3-piece suit while their bridesmaids and groomsmen complemented the couple in royal blue dresses and grey suits respectively.
As they said their vows, Bolarin & Shile pledged their love, support and commitment to each other as their family and friends supported them with songs of joy and prayer. Their inspiring church ceremony was followed by a glamorous reception in a beautiful marquee at the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos.
Bolarin and Shile rocked the day with their close friends and family as everyone present enjoyed lots of treats and drinks plus the amazing performances from stars including Dr. SID and D’Prince. There were so many special moments at Bolarin and Shile’s reception including Shile’s cake surprise orchestrated by Bolarin and the moment when the mutual friend who introduced the newlyweds gave the toast at the reception. The highlight was definitely the bond between the couple as they danced and smiled brightly all night.
BN wishes Bolarin and Olushile a blessed and happy life together. May each day bring new divine blessings and joy!

Lovely pictures. Loved all the bride’s outfits – her white wedding attire (I actually preferred the dress with the sleeves) and the trad attires too. The wedding also looked like a lot of fun. With a proper yoruba owambe throwdown. Wish the couple all the best in their marriage
i agree! it looked nicer with sleeves. either way sha. she’s the prettiest bride i’ve seen on Bella Naija this year. hands down

Fantastic wedding, great looking couple in fact everything looks on point!
@ Oliver twist, though Abeke and Banke’s makeup may look similar, Abeke’s just has this thing i cant explain, i have friends who have used them both and ill just have to give it to Abeke. Dont get me wrong Banke is very good and more popular, but Abeke’s makeovers are exceptional and for the discerning mind. For me o i would rather look stunning than go about mentioning names. The pictures speak for themselves – I can go on an on………… b4 una go abuse me, make i commot but im sure ull thank me for the information later.
Congrats to this beautiful couple 1ce again.

What I love the most about this wedding is that the bride obviously has a unique sense of style and does not hesitate to show it – the non-matching-but-highly-complementing trad outfits she and her husband wear, the unique take on the gold buba (i see ribbons) and her choice of Monique Lhuillier (who..i…LOVE!). I doff my hat, and I’m taking a lot of notes. Happy Married Life to you both!
